The Plus Factor

VH1 has a legacy of cranking things up to 11. We’re music, pop culture + nostalgia – amplified. We have the biggest, boldest and brightest stars. We’re an awesome combo of attitude, drama + humor taken to the nth degree.

With the VH1 mantra in mind, the design is kept simple, bold, default and positive.

We developed a design system to scale across platforms with a distinct voice, without taking a a way from the user experience.

User first

83% of our users were viewing on mobile. So it was important that we tackled the user experience responsively.With the simple and robust VH1 design system in place, we started to flush out on how it will look on the other platforms.

While exploring the design options for the VH1, we simultaneously pushed to see how it can translate for other Viacom brands for future use.
